Mrs. Langmead’s virtual visit

Constitution Day would not be the same without the vocal talents of Mrs. Langmead. We were lucky enough to use the power of Skype to visit with Mrs. Langmead and sing along to an educational School House Rock song.

We are all anxiously awaiting her return to Mullen Hall this week and look forward to many more sing-alongs and grade level gathering this year with our whole team back together!

International Peace Day

What a beautiful day it was to celebrate peace at Mullen Hall. Students got reacquainted with the Peacebuilders Pledge and created pinwheels that illustrated individual ideas of peace. Mrs. Kelly lead us in the song “Teaching Peace” in front of the Mullen Hall steps. Everyone will take home a pinwheel from another student on Monday 🙂

Blogs, blogs, everywhere

Today we had our very first computer lab time! The kids were excited for even the few minutes that we could spend there. I introduced our Team 203 blog today and I could tell that everyone was very excited, even me! Miss Westburg will be adding our blog to the Falmouth Public School website, so I hope that more families can find it and use it! Congratulations to Mrs. Waters (Tyler’s mom) for being our first “poster”!

This afternoon we had a lot of fun playing musical name collection boxes! We listened to some of my favorite songs from Sweet Caroline to some High School musical favorites.

I’m really looking forward to tomorrow, can anyone guess why? Happy 10th day of third grade!

First day of school!

We had a great time getting to know each other on the first day. Many of us recognized old friends and even got to know some brand new faces!

Students went on a human scavenger hunt to find out more about new classmates.

Snowball fight!! In September??!! Students used snowballs to play a guessing game about new friends.

Everyday Math

We took everyday math to a new level when we sorted, graphed, and compared everything from M & M’s to Goldfish. The new third graders did a nice job reviewing these valuable math skills and enjoying a small treat!
